Some people often leave everything behind and bring only the clothes on their backs in hopes of being able to provide for their families. In recent polls conducted, this dream is becoming more unachievable every year. Although there are hundreds of people who view their life as nothing less. America is still the land of opportunities and allows people from all different backgrounds and culture to climb the ladder and gain hope in society. “If we can restrain the size and scope of government, there’s every reason to believe that the America Dream will be strong for the rest of the 21st century”. Social media is one of the worst contributors to this point of view. I say that if you strive to succeed and work hard that none of these factors play role in the American dream. Look at John D. Rockefeller, he was one of six children his mother raised all on her own. They were as low class as imaginable and the funds were often not there. At the age of sixteen, he was working small jobs to provide for his family. He continued to work hard to rise from the low class and was believed to be the wealthiest man alive at the time of his death.
