"Yeah, my friends" Jonathan says. He keeps his head down the closer they get. Starting to wish they weren't there. They reach the door and Jonathan reaches out to knock. Within seconds Steve is in front of them ushering for them to come in. They go in to Steve's living room where Nancy is sitting. Cards and board games were scattered through out the room. He walks over to the table and sits across from her. He slides a deck of red cards out of his suit pocket. The man sets two cards face down in front of the girl, and two face down in front of himself. The girl is sitting with her arms crossed, not wanting to deal with his tricks.
"I know you've been mad at me these past couple of days. So I thought I would give you a little break. Today we're gonna play a card game. A pretty simple and fun one called Texas hold'em" He says. The girl uncrossed her arms and sat up straight, not believeing he just wanted to play a game.
"Ok" She says.
"Great, so I was taught how to play this by my older brother. He went off to the army, and when he came back we played all of the time. The two cards in front of you are called your hole cards. We both need to decide if we want to check our cards, bet what they are, or fold. Folding means you don't think you have good cards" He explains.
"What are good cards?" She asks.
"You can have a flush, straight, or two pair. A flush consists of either an ace, k, j, q, and 10 of the same suit. Or 7, 6, 5, 4, and 3 all in the same suit. Why don't we just try and get flushes for now?" He says, "So now, what do you want to do. Check, bet, or

Shelley shakes her head no and looks away from them.
"Is everything okay Shelley?" Jonathan asks.
"I'd like to go home now" Shelley says. She starts to stand up, messing up her angel. Jonathan slowly stands up too.
"Okay sure, I guess we can go" Jonathan says.
"No I'd like to go home, home. Like my actual home" She says. Jonathan feels hurt by this, but he's not sure what he did wrong.
"What? What about Barkley, he could still be out there" He says. A single tear rolls down Shelley's cheek. He reaches for her, but she backs up. Nancy and Steve are standing up by now.
"I've made a mistake, I've made a mistake" Shelley says, running her hands through her hair.
"Shelley what's going on? You can tell us I promise" Nancy says, trying to calm the situation down.
"Yeah I'm sure your dog is okay" Steve says. Shelley turns around and looks off into the house. Jonathan is heading towards her again.
"Stop, please stop!" Shelley shouts. She takes a deep breath before she turns

Both become associated with what he experienced at the time and produces within him fear which also caused for his inability to accurately recall any of the events which took place during the time he was missing in action. The cluttered background and the continued background conversation between the bartender and patrons emphasize the focus on Raymond’s inability to register the environment around him and his focus on the cards. It gives the viewer a clearer view of how Raymond acts in response to the “triggers” he encounters. He shuts out the world around him and takes no notice of what those around him are saying as it is proved when he interrupts the conversation after the first “trigger”.…

Creeping figures slithered out underneath the speckled night sky, not a single fragment outshining the moon at its fullest. Luminescence of the orb created a safe, guiding light for the wandering, yet it exposed them to the other creatures looming in the crevices of the forest. Two small, thin bodies weaved through the trees that surrounded them no matter where they turned. As the rustling of leaves sounded from a distance, tall forms towered over everything under their desolation. Trying to stay hidden in the shadows of the great oaks, the beings traveled in precaution.…
