The movie Crash consisted of several forms of communication from nonverbal, interpersonal, and intrapersonal. Nonverbal communication is all kinds of human messages and responses not expressed in words. Usually when watching movies I tend to not pay attention and focus towards what 's going on. The movie crash fits perfect for the crash because it focuses on main communications points and topics we spoke over in class. I would say that I can be a person that does not like showing how I am feeling or what things are going through my mind. I would rather keep things to myself and not talk about my feelings. But when it comes to my boyfriend I seem to be able to tell him what exactly I am feeling or what what my emotions are very easily. There has been many times when we have gotten into arguments over the phone or through a text message, looking back at some of them they have been the dumbest things but at that moment we are so mad we just said whatever comes first to our minds. Which can result in us not talking to each other till the next day or until we feel bad for fighting with each other and one of us apologizes for what was said.…

At times upbringing has a lot to do with the way someone receives a message. Although I don’t always follow the strict instructions given to me by my mother ”if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it all” (Rogers) I don’t think that our ability to be opinionated affects the way we communicate. The purpose of communication is to effectively get points and ideas across to an audience. I was always taught to say what I had to say and never skimp when it came to the truth because the way you feel matters despite what anyone says. Rogers says that the exchange of feelings is a major barrier yet communication would be nothing without it.…

Stephen R. Covey once said, “Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply” Stephen is implying that people don't just listen to each other but to not actually think of what the person said, but instead just respond to that person. This is something that has to make a change people have to understand what is coming out of the speaker and also understand how to respond to the speaker. In the play A Raisin In The Sun by Lorraine Hansberry, a family of color by the name of the Youngers are going through a rough time with money situations. Throughout this play, money isn’t the only situation that is occurring, but additionally, characters not being heard by anyone even when they have something good to say and not so stupid nonsense that is not useful. Seeking active conciseness is difficult, I even have trouble remaining conscious in class. Being one hundred percent invested in a conversation and trying to discern how things will affect another is like playing a chess game against a mastermind. Not only do you have to think about the other person feelings but, also how what you say will effect those feelings and perceptions. It is easy to revert to passiveness and letting conversation shift from individual personal self interest to another. Everyone has a story and everyone wants to tell their story to those that will listen.…

The mechanism of evolution occurs from natural selection, where the favorable traits are preserved and the unfavorable traits are destroyed. In Revenge of the Nerds, the author Steven Pinker claims that our common ancestor had four traits that led to the evolution of the modern human, which in turn established a foundation for humankind’s intelligence. Pinker states that the four traits are vision, group living, the ability of the hand, and hunting. In support of these four reasons, Pinker provides scientific and analogical evidences to clarify the misconception of how life evolved and originated, as well as how human’s intelligence developed over time.…
