Mind Over Mass Media
Technology is taking over us. Author Steven Pinker shows how technology is damaging our brain turning into rubbish. Through his short essay “ Mind Over Mass Media “ one can infer how useless our lives could be without technology unless we know how to use properly. I could say technology is not a waste of time, we force ourselves to use all the time for many necessities, this is why there are many solutions that can help you to deal with it. As usual we got used to doing everything online or maybe just playing or sometimes we are not doing anything, basically, we learn something new every day even online which means we are improving ourselves, and sometimes we just got addicted to overuse technology. Although we can not deal with this, there are people that can control or help us deal with this, for example, they can control our time spending in media, we can spend more time playing sports, etc. This can not only depend on others, this is only up to oneself.
Technology work for our side. There are some advantages that can work for us. We can see that most of the singers have been discovered by Youtube as Justin Bieber, sometimes we do not know what could happen if we try something new. Also, we can improve communication since new technology has come out and we can learn them just by being on a social network.
