Steve Rushin’s article titled, “At Home in the Hall” is about the story of a tomboyish girl named Rebecca Lobo who was raised to be herself. Her mother never took someone else’s opinion on how to raise her daughter and let her be herself. Whenever a professional told her how to raise Rebecca, she ignored them and looked for someone who wouldn't protrude on her life. Because of being raised this way, Rebecca was able to shoot hoops in the driveway unlike typical girls her age. When younger, Rebecca showed strength when she chased after a jogger who maced her dog. All of which helped shape her adulthood when she played basketball for UConn, which she led to victory in the 1995 national championship game, continued to the WNBA, and got married
