Unfortunately, I do not really use the social media platforms that the author, Steve Rayson, uses to explain his major findings. I am actually very surprised he is tracking his articles across Google + and LinkedIn which are not as popular as other social media. The two tools whose usefulness stands out to me the most are Topsy and Tweriod. Most sites make it easy to track how many times an article has been shared, but these tools bring social sharing into a new light. It is not just about the number. What is more important is what those numbers mean. On Topsy, you can track how many times an article is tweeted and by how many influencers.
