Approaching the age where I can appreciate different genres of music, one of the bands that i've grown to love over the past few years is The Steve Miller Band. Lead guitarist and lead singer Steve Miller is indeed one of the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees. He was long overdue, and I say that because he courted arguably two of the best albums of all-time in any genre in terms of album quality.

Obviously most known for their hit record, "The Joker," that appeared in the top 10 back in 1973. It was until I listened to their album, "Fly Like An Eagle," which was originally released back in May 1976. With frontman Miller at the helm, this album contained a mixture of blues and rock. The album ended up peaking as high as No.3 on the Billboard 200 album charts. It was an absolute classic. It also was in the top ten in Canada and The Netherlands -- even reached as high as No.11 album in England. "Rock’n Me," was the only song on the album to reach the No.1 spot and rightfully so. Not to mention,“Take the Money and Run” (number eleven on the charts), “Wild Mountain Honey,” and “Serenade.”

The other album was the one that followed, "Book Of Dreams." As another absolute classic album, according to many this was the band's most successful studio album. Led by the single, "Jet Airliner," this album also peaked in the top 10 on charts in four different countries.

In reality, he probably should have been inducted years ago. That could be why he didn't really enjoy his experience. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremonies should be nothing, but a positive vibes atmosphere. But, he wasn't happy -- and for great reason.
