Steve Jobs claims that a person’s only goal in life should be finding a way to become genuinely happy, but how can someone be happy if they can’t support themselves financially? Not everyone is fortunate enough to find a career they love that will allow them to live a stable life. Steve got lucky, he pushed the limits to create some of the greatest advances in technology, but not everyone can get opportunities like his. I’m not saying you should be miserable with what you’re doing, but everyone needs to make sacrifices. There are only a few career fields in this world that appeal to the artsy and creative part of the human race, half of them take years of practice, hard work, and dedication. You can’t support yourself off of a hobby that you find “fun”. Many people don’t realise that while trying to pursue a career they love doing there are going to be times down the road when it’s not all fun and games; you go into a career ready to commit for life and you have to come to the conclusion that no matter what job you take it will come with hardships and obstacles to overcome. Steve Jobs created somewhat of a snowball effect- his accomplishments opened doors for new parts of technology and tested the limits for future advancements.
