There are many people in the world that have influenced massive amounts of people, but in my opinion Steve Jobs has been the most motivational person to have lived recently. He has influenced many individual lives and has had a major impact on not only the computer industry, but all industries where design plays a large role. Steve was hard working and strived for perfection in everything he took part in. Steve Jobs was a master of design, an innovator, and an entrepreneur. He and his friend Steve Wozniak founded one of the larges businesses in the world today in his garage in the year 1974. Steve is influential because he showed the world what could be done with very limited resources, and how important design is to most industries. Steve …show more content…
This is shown in one of his quotes, “For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: 'If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?' And whenever the answer has been 'No' for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.” This shows that while he was dedicated to his work, he also loved what he did. He started in his parents garage and worked for years going through failure after failure but eventually ended up doing what he loved for his entire life. To him, every wire had to be placed perfectly, every pixel colored correctly, every computer built to its full potential. These are a few of the traits that I believe are the most important in being successful. Jobs once said, “Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.” By using another persons design you are following them, but by designing things yourself you are leading many people that will try to use your idea. Steve motivates many people to innovate their design rather than copy one that has been over used. Why use a design that someone else made that just does its job when you can create your own design that does its job better? Most people would use a design that has been preset for them, a design that those people do not have to work for in hope of a mediocre life, but Steve
