Steve Jobs Influence On Society

Steve Jobs could easily be considered one of the greatest influences in the modern age, and his story of rising from rags to riches has been retold countless times by those who aspire to be like him. Although dropping out of college at the age of nineteen to work in his dad’s cluttered garage with friends could hardly be seen as a wise investment at the time, those who doubted were soon proven wrong. In 1979, Steve Jobs - in collaboration with Steve Wozniak - created the first Apple computer featuring a wooden case instead of the usual plastic and began to sell the handmade computers at a local store for the questionable price of $666.66. However, it wasn’t until 2007 when his power soon began to influence the country by introducing the first ever iPhone, and later in 2010 the iPad. Even after his death, we still are under his influence as it becomes more applicable to our way of life. Although he could be considered abrasive at times with his judgement, it could be possible that without it Steve Jobs would not leave as strong of an imprint on the world. Were it not for the influence of Steve Jobs three dimensional animated movies would be unheard of. While Steve Jobs was the owner of NeXt Software he invested a large sum of money in a small group of graphic designers from lucasfilms to establish a small group called Pixar. “Steve Jobs purchases the Computer Graphics Division from George Lucas and establishes an independent company to be christened "Pixar."
