How Does Steve Jobs Influenced Your Life

Children growing up in the era of technology that is fast evolving has made a huge impact on how they learn, communicate, and also see the world. One of the most revolutionary people in the technology world was Steve Jobs; one of the founders of Apple, Inc. Jobs has overcome countless obstacles while he was creating his multibillion dollar company. Looking at how he can fail many times but still never give up is so inspiring. Steve Jobs has influenced me to want to become a marketing major. Being able to utilize the skills that Jobs has taught to the world will enable you to set a goal and make a plan on how to reach it.
The number one way that Jobs has influenced my life was when I first started to use his product. It was such a ground breaking invention in today’s technological world. According to Isaacson (2011) When Jobs created “the first fully packaged computer” (p.71), this allowed them to broaden their customers to “thousands of people who would want the machine to be ready to run” (p.71). Elliot (2012) also wrote about how Jobs said “it’s not my job to pull things together from different parts of the company… It’s my job to push the team and make them even better…” (p.4). Certain skill sets are more prominent in some than others, but it is important to know that “vision and passion are more important than credentials” (Elliot, 2012, p.3). Having such a successful business man like Steve Jobs be available to study and learn from while you are trying to make your way up in life is an incredible opportunity.
