The public knew him as a man who created products that they use today. But in October 2003 Steve Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Knowing this Jobs refused to get treatment from doctors. Instead relying on medicinal diet to cure him of his cancer. His cancer could be cured by surgery but despite people urging him to go through with it he declined. Nine months later Jobs went through with the surgery. His health was regained after that. But by 2008 people began to speculate if it had returned. Rumors spread that he would leave the company for six months, but jobs denied it. It was true his cancer had come back. In April 2009 Jobs received a liver transplant. Again he was healthy but by then he was very weak in appearance. Jobs chose to leave the company on January 17, 2011 for medical reasons. Despite this Jobs was still part of the company’s major decision making and was even there to unveil the iPad 2. On August 24, 2011 Jobs resigned his duties at Apple. Two months later Jobs died at Palo Alto California on October 5, 2011 from respiratory arrest due to his pancreatic cancer. His funeral was held on October 7, 2011.
Steve Jobs was perseverant man. His life was full of struggles and issues. But even through all of his problems he became the CEO of Apple and one of the most respected computer manufactures in the world. But he wasn’t just a CEO he was a loving father and husband.
