Steve Jobs And Gandhi

Decent Essays
Steve Jobs, Theodore Roosevelt, and Mahatma Gandhi were great leaders of their times. All of these individuals were special in their own respectable way. These leaders were great because they were responsible and inspired their followers.
Great leaders know when it comes to their company, work place, or whatever situation they're in, they take personal responsibility for failure. For instance, when Bill Gates invented technology that could process traffic tapes into useful data, it failed. He blamed no low level employee or any of his assistance and took full personal blame. He later made a speech on how he will learn from this mistake and make the invention superior. This clearly shows a leader who takes responsibility for his or her actions

George Washington, a prime example of what one regards to be a great leader. Dependable, communicative, and charismatic are all words that surface when asked to describe George Washington. Being an introvert, if I had to be as communicative or charismatic as Mr. Washington, I would be terror-stricken, but that does not mean that I am not an awe-inspiring leader like him. Our first president may have been a heroic leader, however, there are many other remarkable leaders that do not fit within that definition. Without key qualities of leadership, an individual cannot fully provide their customers or its employees with the experiences they deserve. Without proper skills and reinforcement, leaders cannot foster a positive workforce or support their employees. If one ranks leaders on how well they led by example, surely one of our greatest leaders is none less than the 26th U.S. president, Theodore Roosevelt. “Do as I say, not as I do” is a philosophy that many leaders take, however, this builds bitter resentment in the eyes of the people. The best leaders have always been ones who lead by example, showing their followers how its done, both speaking of ideals and showing them. Everyone has someone they look up to, since they were a child maybe and up to this day.
