Referring back to Steve Jobs’ 7 principles that are believed to have led to his success, Steve Jobs exhibited aspects of servant leadership. Steve Jobs placed service before self-interest. This is most evident in principle five: create insanely different experiences. It was his mission that his customers had an enriching experience and to create an emotional connection between customer and brand. Steve Jobs inspired through trust. This is most evident in principle six: master the message. It was through his ability to communicate that he was able to inform, educate, inspire and entertain his following. Steve Jobs worked toward feasible goals. This is most evident in principle two: put a dent in the universe. Steve Job definitely had vision, and a big vision at that, he wanted to reach new heights and did so by saving the Apple brand with his vision. Steve Jobs helped others whenever possible. This is most evident in principle seven: sell dreams, not products. Steve jobs taught us that if you help your customers reach their dreams, you’ll win them over (Forbes 2011).
