Steve Jobs once said, “People with passion can change the world for the better, he said, life it too short for living someone else’s dream and if you haven’t found your passion, keep looking, don’t settle (Forbes 2011). Steve Jobs did not just speak or present facts when communicating to his following, he actually informed, educated, inspired and entertained millions. Steve Jobs lived by 7 principles that are believed to have led to his success. Those principles according to Forbes (2011), were: do what you love, put a dent in the universe, connect things to spark your creativity, say no to 1,000 things, create insanely different experiences, master the message and sell dreams not products. Referring back to Steve Jobs’ 7 principles that are believed to have led to his success, Steve Jobs exhibited aspects of servant leadership. Steve Jobs placed service before self-interest. This is most evident in principle five: create insanely different experiences. It was his mission that his customers had an enriching experience and to create an emotional connection between customer and brand. Steve Jobs inspired through trust. This is most evident in principle six: master the message. It was through his ability to communicate that he was able to inform, educate, inspire and entertain his following. Steve Jobs worked toward feasible goals. This is most evident in principle two: put a dent in the universe. Steve Job definitely had vision, and a big vision at that, he wanted to reach new heights and did so by saving the Apple brand with his vision. Steve Jobs helped others whenever possible.
