According to an article written by Brian Fetherstonhaugh, there are six factors that make a great salesman. (Steve Jobs: Greatest Salesperson?) (2) The first factor is being a problem- solver. Jobs was a problem- solver in that he looked into society, saw what the people needed in the form of technology and created it. The second factor is communicator. Jobs communicated to all of his customers with introductions to all of the new products. He also used selling techniques to show the customers why they wanted to buy that specific product. The third factor is empathy. Jobs found out what the consumers wanted before they knew they wanted it, which is a special quality most salesman do not obtain. The fourth factor is trustworthiness. What would the company of Apple be if they did not have trust? The fifth factor is beerworthy. Even though it seemed that Jobs might not have been the friendliest, his knowledge overflowed and most people would love to have been able to sat down and have a good chat with him. The sixth factor is relentless energy. Year after year Jobs worked to build different products for Apple’s consumers. With many failures, he never gave up, which created overall success. Like we have read in the book “The Greatest Salesman in the World, “Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough.” (The Greatest Salesman in the World)
