The first reason leading to believe that Steve harmon is guilty of the involvement in the murder of Alguinaldo Nesbitt is that during his testimony he clearly stated that he was not in the drugstore at the time of the robbery, but on page 128 of his journal he wrote “I thought about writing about what happened in the drugstore, but i’d rather not have it in my mind."(Myers 128).Steve had tried to deny that he was not in the store but yet his own writing tells that he was in fact in the drugstore on the day of the murder. Steve tries to deny where he was at the time of the murder, and he continually changes his story between his journal and the courtroom.
