Other athletes won’t be as good as him or her and that might lead to more athletes using steroids, which is a problem we have now and many want to solve it. When athletes who don’t use steroids see that one of their teammates uses steroids to become something he’s or she’s not and become famous, they will want to do the same thing. By doing the same thing, more people will be using illegal and banned substances and also don’t think about their harmful side effects because all they want is to become like the athlete they see as a hero. Also, by making the people use steroids like you will make their manager or the sports head suspect what’s going on because of their major performance increase.…

Reporters, authors, and journalists from around the country have been trying to figure out the answer to that question. Doctors and reporters believe that cheating with steroids should be something encouraged in the MLB. For example, Dr. Robert Simon, PhD, a professor at Hamilton College, stated in Fair Play: The Ethics of Sports via Procon.org that if people in general can do whatever it takes to succeed in what they are trying to do, “shouldn 't athletes have the same freedom as anyone else?” (Simon). Dr. Simon also goes on to say that if athletes are willing to take the health risk to better themselves from the use of steroids, they should be able to do it of their own free will.…

By having steroids in professional sports it takes away from the morals of the game because it is a form of cheating, in which an athlete tries to get a competitive edge over their opponent. “ Baseball players who utilize artificial substances in an effort to improve their results on the field certainly intended to break the game 's rules and obtain an advantage beyond that which biology had granted them” (Goldman 27). Although television fathoms these athletes continuously, there is an intent to cheat by taking steroids. It is taking away from the true goodness and innocence of the game. All sports are founded on these values that everyone must play fairly so that we can see who the real champion is.…

In 1991, steroids were banned from Major League Baseball and in 2003 testing of the Major League Baseball players began. I think steroids should be let back into Major League Baseball because steroids can help with some medical injuries such as strained muscles or even broken bones, steroids would also give the sport more of an edge like Major League Baseball fans are looking for and because it is also wrong for people to think steroids are a bad thing when they have not experienced it. Steroids can help a player grow to be a better player in baseball. ¨We let people do far more dangerous things than play football and baseball using steroids like bungee jumping or to ski more advanced slopes I don 't think we need to go down a path which we…
