Steroids should not be allowed in Sports

Athletes achieve their success knowing they worked hard to attain it and can truly say they accomplished something that makes them a better person.All athlete must work hard and practice often to get more proficiend in their field of play. There are also some people who try to get by without putting in all the effort through the use of perfomance-enhancing drugs. The pressures of performing well on the field often drive many athletes use the drugs and perform well that they may achieve success . It is incredible what athlete will do to achieve higher levels of performance.Most of the time people do not realize the long –term effects that result from the desicions they make early in life. This refers to the use of steroids. Steroids should be banned from sports becuse it is unfair to the players that does not use them. They will not be able to compete at the same level and will therefore fall behind. . The quality of the game is compromised because it is no longer about which athlete has the best skills or talent. It is now which athlete has money to buy the best steroids. In a 1995 survey, aspiring Olympic athletes revealed that well over half of them would take a performance-enhancing drug if it would guarantee winning every competition for five years, even though taking this drug would kill them (Longman 2001)
