We, the organelles of Cell city need to unite and function as one. This can be achieved through the sole leadership of us, the Smooth-ER. We are like a tube that winds and bends. Our insides are surrounded by a phospholipid membrane, the same one used around this city. It might be easy to confuse us with our opponent, the Rough-ER, but make no mistake the Rough-ER are flat like pancakes while we are totally tubular. Although we create adrenal steroids, we also play a large role in the detoxification of the liver when there has been a large consumption of alcohol. We also take part in the creation of lipids that can be transported throughout the city. Just like our predecessor, the Nucleus, kept us alive through his DNA and ability to help us multiply, we help to keep this cell alive to create substances that can prolong and fight unwanted inhabitants.
