No person takes a PED in order to create a bad image for themselves, this is the whole purpose of taking a steroid. Not only does it build muscle, but it builds it in a short amount of time, sometimes almost instantly considering it is an offset to the natural hormones a body needs to go through. The quickness of time PEDs work under is another major reason they 're used. If a person isn 't seeing results in a time span they like, they revert to PEDs to kill the time. Its obvious that body builders have acquired some of the most insane bodies in the world. The amount of muscle you watch the human body hold on a body builder is amazing. The real question is: could all of that really be formed naturally? Theoretically speaking, the answer to that question is no. Yes, everyone’s body is different, but the human body can only acquire so much muscle and muscle tone naturally. The only difference between a professional athlete and a professional body builder is that bodybuilders are basically given permission to do whatever it takes to build as much muscle as they choose in order to compete in bodybuilding competitions. Why is this? Why is that a professional body builder is given permission to use steroids, but professional athletes are not? The answer to this is simple: it is literally impossible to pick up that much weight through just simply lifting and working out. To bodybuilders, this is the price of competing. This means putting your full health at risk, both mentally and physically. Another difference between pro athletes and pro bodybuilders is that usually, a majority of the time, pro athletes are dealing with contact. The effects steroids have on the body added in with contact, is a worse mix then just someone using steroids.
