Also, in other sports such as football, soccer, track & field, all performance-enhancing drugs and drugs to just have a good time are banned. If athletes are found doing drugs, they will get punished and it may be in a big way or a small way. The Committee says, “Doping is not only a danger for the health of athletes, it also constitutes a form of cheating which we cannot afford” (Dudrey). Also, doing drugs in sports affects the future health of the athlete. In the book, “Drugs and Sports” by William Dudrey it says that it is justifiable to prohibit the use of a substance if such use can lead to violent situations where persons can be harmed.
