Due to only one paycheck coming in for the household, single mothers usually have to get multiple jobs or they have to work overtime. This leaves them with little to no time to do chores around the house, leaving it up to the children to pick up the slack. Children without fathers learn how to value money since it is usually limited in their household. This skill will benefit these children especially when they grow up because they will know how to budget themselves, a quality that a lot of children in the “ideal” household do not acquire until late in their adulthood.
