Shaun Tan is one of the finest picture book publishers. The books that he has illustrated has gone on to win awards in the past but the Arrival shows a different perspective on migrants and refugee’s. Shaun Tan tries to change the medias representation, and does a good job at it. The Arrival expresses migration, alienation, immigration, integration (Minny Reviews, 2015). How is it even thinkable that he could top that book? Falling fast into the pages of the book you may realise the feeling of being out casted. While flipping through the pages and taking in the soft well thought out drawings I came across a photo that reminded me of my Grandparent being in the same situation as the main character, that left on a boat moving to a foreign
