Women's savages of the roads fact or fiction. Stereotypes have been passed down from generation to generation. Stereotypes can be absorbed at any age, and influence from media, parents, peers, and teachers all play a part. Stereotypes also have the power to change how people are perceived and interact with one another. An example of a stereotype would be that all rich people are considered stuck up and selfish. This stereotype might have been that way back in the day; however, the truth is that people like Bill Gates donate millions to humanitarian causes, and his generosity proves the stereotype untrue. However, the times have changed and women have joined the workforce. It would be very rare to see a woman driving in the 1950s, but modern women travel all over the highways, and in many instances, women even serve as truck drivers. Women are given a bad rap due to the stereotypes and misconceptions about their driving skills. Women are said to have a lack of attention, but this misconception really has no basis in reality.
