Women in today’s society are assumed to be sexually available for men. For example, women in Max shoes printed ads are displayed as an object to please the men. This prejudice is clearly expressed through the two advertising images of the two famous fashion brands, which are Max shoes and Calvin Klein jeans. The poses of women in these ads are displayed as if they have a desire to be conquered by men. In Max shoes printed ads, an Asian woman is lying on a man shoe. The man shoe is magnified much bigger than her whole body. Her hands, breast, waist and hips are tied into the man shoe laces. However, she looks more relaxed than feel like to resist being tied. The purpose of this intention is to elicit sexual arousal of the men. Also, the woman …show more content…
Being half naked and showing their hot tanned skin, this couple in Calvin Klein ads become more attractive and passionate under the sunlight. They wear nothing but jeans, and their bodies are flecked with dust and sweat. This is considered to be normal for men, but for women, it is pretty immodest. This suggests that women cannot resist on the attraction of men, and they are always willing to dedicate themselves to men. In contrast to Western people where women are more flexible about outfit selection, Eastern women are associated with the strict and discreet clothing. In this particular ads, with the first glance, we might believe that there is nothing special besides seeing an Asian woman wears a traditional costume of Japan, the Kimono in cherry blossom style with a warm tone. But if you pay more attention to details, you will see her sleeves are pulled down that exposing her upper arms, and the bottom is not long enough to cover her ankles as Kimono supposes to be. Also, she does not wear the traditional footwear that come together with this costume but barefoots instead. Being dressed in the representative of form and polite, however, this Asian woman looks very skittish and flirty.
