Does it matter the way women look? Women in many time periods have had many different things and processes for them to change their body shape or the way they look. All women had a certain reason to why they change their body shape or how they look and it is because of the men, for their perspective. In Eastern China, they had footbinding for women. Men found it very appealing in the 19th and 20th century. In Western Europe the women did corsets for a living to slim their waist. In footbinding, when you are at the age of five years, you will get your foot binded. If you were to get your foot binded then you will get it at a very young age because, your foot is more flexible at a very young age. If you get your foot binded at a later on age, such as your teen or adult age, then your foot will not be as flexible as it used to be. The whole foot binding process is that first you will need to be bare footed. Then you will put your foot in warm water and you will have your foot being massaged. For the women in the west they wore corsets. Corsets are what women wore around their stomach to have a slimmer body, but during this process you will have a coca-cola bottle shaped body. A corset has laces and the laces that are used for tightening your stomach, and it will be very hard to breathe. It is also very unhealthy for you because you will have breathing problems and have you have it on for many months or years, your organs will be compressed into one. You can also get skin conditions such as dry skin or itchiness. You will also experience pinching while you are moving around throughout the day. The pinching problem tends to worsen the more that you constrict your waistline, and it may be necessary to loosen the laces a little to reach the pinching folds of skin and unfolded
