The purpose of this study is to see how athletes do academically while playing sports. This study shows that most student athletes even though considered to be strong do suffer from stereotypes that hinder their academic abilities and caused them to fall in the category “dumb jock” do have the ability to excell greater than the average student because of the will to know why there studying to begin with. Studies show that if student athlete have good help from home and a coach that pushes education can help them do far above the regular barely passing.
