Your position on leaders that conform to the environment appear to be non-authentic is concerning. A leader that is adaptable and sensitive to those cultural differences within an organization may have its’ vulnerabilities, but I would only think that would occur in drastic cases. In my workplace, my immediate, secondary, and tertiary bosses are all females and exist within an industry that is not centric to female products. I believe I understand your premise in those cases that executive leaders pander and change colors like a chameleon for the sake of peace and productivity.
Like all of us, perhaps your own biases associated with your experiences within the industry you represent contributed to your hypothesis regarding the struggles
