Does he Belong? Many Greasers think they might not belong in the community. The Socs are more dominated in the city and push Greasers out of the way. They are known as “bad” kids by most of the community, they walk like thugs and the might be assumed as “hoods” when they go out in public. Ponyboy is a really good person, he doesn't jump people or hurt them, but he will use self defense as we saw in chapter four. Ponyboy believes he is a good kid. The Greasers are also poor, unlike the Socs, they don't have enough money so they resort to stealing and sneaking in places

Pony boy has a lot of differences he sees in himself. For one, he doesn't act like all of the other Greasers and he most definitely has a nicer
