Although the Huggies wipe ad does not have a written message, the one in The Man with baby carries the stereotype for both images. “WHAT WOULD THE WORLD BE WITHOUT WOMAN?” is written in all capital letters to put emphasis on the message being conveyed. The word woman is written in red to highlight and strengthen the overall meaning of the message. It implies that woman are the ones meant and best suited to care for babies. Therefore, many things would go wrong if caring for babies were left up to men, and men would look like the men in the ads, desperate, tired, lost, and puzzled, if they did not have any woman to assist them in doing so. For instance, in the Huggies ad, the man is standing in a kitchen with white painted walls and floors white tilled floors, but because he failed to properly care for the baby sitting beside him, the walls, floors, and his clothes have been repainted and covered with the red ketchup sauce he is holding.
