There needs to be a change in the dress code the is enforced in school around the country, as well as, changing the stereotype against why dress codes are enforced
There are places where girls are forced to follow very unrealistic dress codes for the simple reason to “not distract anyone” which is way out of line.
On August 13, 2015 Stacie Dunn has a daughter who attended Woodford High in Kentucky. On her first day back to school for her Junior year, her daughter was sent home due to violating the school’s dress code. (Bologna, 2015)
The school’s dress code required that all shirts but cover up the collar bones and when Dunn brought her daughter a scarf to cover up her collarbone, but that was not enough for the school.
