Stereotypes Caused By Basketball Players

There are many Basketball players, but it takes that certain love for the game to understand the hype and excitement of a rivalry game. Rivalry games bring out that exciting championship like atmosphere to the coaches, players, and fans. From the coaches screaming, physical altercations between players, and the trash talk of the fans gives that reason to be pumped up for a rivalry game. The intensity and aggression of both teams are raised to another level for the battle of bragging rights. Then it is time for the players to give the fans what they came to see. After a player takes a charge and the referee blows the whistle it is so quiet that you can hear a pen drop, and then the referee calls charge and the gym goes crazy. Also hearing the shoes squeak during the game is like music to a basketball player’s ear. Meanwhile fans can be heard talking to the players to distract them, telling them stuff like “they had sex with their girlfriend.” Then student section also tries to distract the free throw shooter saying his name and that "if you make this next free throw your girlfriend is a whore." Then as the fans are trash talking the player comes down the court and shoots a shot and the net makes that swishing sound and the fans gasp in disbelief as if maybe it was a bad idea to trash talk that player. Then during the game the fans play a diss song to the other team saying “If I was a Ram I would be embarrassed to be one,” and it gives the other team a chip on their shoulder and the team who made the diss song has something to prove and then the game gets …show more content…
Then as the player realizes that his mouth is bleeding after being elbowed the taste of the blood is like iron.Then the athletes start to get cotton mouth. The taste of cotton mouth is so dry it is like putting flour in the mouth and eating it. Then as the players go to the bench for a break the only thing running in the head is gatorade. The taste of gatorade gives that refreshing taste and a boost of energy that the body was gasping for. As the player starts to chew gum the mint taste gives the mouth some type of juice to help the cotton mouth.
Then there is the smell of the game. One smell that is common at a game is food. The fresh popcorn hits the nose, and the stomach starts to growl from the smell of hot butter on the popcorn.The court has that fresh smell of wax and it reminds you of a new car smell.The smell of the rubber after the players run up and down the court smells like burnt tires.
