Stereotyping does nothing but make us confuse which leads to nothing but corruption. Sadly it has become a part of us now and sometimes used as protection for ourselves and loved ones. Growing up being black itself comes with a lot of stereotypes. As we all may know that being black and dread has its additional negative highlights. As a child having dreads was always frowned upon even in a black society or even having the darkest complexion. At a tender age I was taught this by my family however though I questioned it, the answers were simply job security and how society would see me.
