English 1H; P.4 Stereotype Threats
We wouldn’t necessarily be fond about the thought of being stereotypical, but we are. As a being we use the little information we know about a person to categorize that individual into a group. Teachers for example are thought to be boring, strict, dedicated, responsible, etc. therefore students will use this information and get the idea that all teachers desire a quiet boring teaching space. Stereotypes don’t seem too damaging, but when do they become threatening?
