Stephen L Carter's Idea Of Integrity Changes From Person To Person

One good example for this ,like Stephen used, is a racist person. That racist person has been believing his whole life thinking one race is superior than the other, and if someone asked about he wouldn’t think the answer through he would just say what he has been taught since a young age. He wouldn’t think his answer to see if it’s right or wrong he would just say his belief without thinking about it. My second reason is that integrity sometimes makes you keep secrets. One is , also from Stephen, a lawyer can’t talk about some things his client has told him. Another example is like a Catholic priest he can’t talk about something that was told to him no matter how good or bad this is integrity you may have to keep secrets from people. Stephen also wrote “The most important thing in acting is honesty; once you learn to fake that, you’re in.” he means honesty is something you can earn. Honesty can also be an excuse to make yourself feel better while you can also make others feel bad or worse. Integrity is not honesty not by a longshot. Honesty is easy to have, but integrity is a hard thing to get. Integrity may not be easy to get, but may be worth having in your

If today’s government keeps enough secrets from the citizens, it can eventually lead to a dystopian society. There have been many cases where the US government has abused its power of secret keeping.…
