Stephen edward king was born in portland maine on september 21, 194 king and his older brother lived with their mom after their father left when he was just two years old (Stephen 1). Once his father left his mom ended up moving them to several different areas until she decided to stay in one place for the next six years. Stephen king later graduated in 1966 from high school then went to college were he graduated in 1770. After college king accepted a job as a english teacher, during this time he would write after his classes or on the weekends. stephen king published over 104 books as a few of them have been turned into very famous movies.
