There are many habits that humans form throughout their lifetimes, some may be good while others may not. Stephen Covey marked 7 of the best habits in his book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, which gives the reader a detailed look into what habits they should form in order to succeed and be more effective in their day to day lives. The book is very well written with real world examples and quotes that leave the reader thinking as to how they should implement the 7 habits into their lives. The first habit that Covey writes about is to, “Be Proactive,” meaning to take control of one’s response-ability. Response-Ability means that one has the ability to control how they respond to what is happening around them or to them. To me, it …show more content…
In my life I will use this to make sure that I do things that not only make me happy, but also make others around me happy, or if I am working on a project with a group I will be more open to their ideas rather than just settling on one thing and limiting my creativity. I will also use it to ensure that if I am ever in a situation that has to do with my friends or someone else around me feeling bad emotionally or even physically, I can think of things through their point of view to help them in the best way possible. The seventh and final habit which Covey writes about is, “Sharpen the Saw,” which is about self renewal around all of the other habits. This habit of self renewal allows one to stay constantly improving themselves and strengthening the seven habits to ensure that they are as effective in their day to day lives as ever before. In my life this habit would likely be the most important so that I can constantly improve my grip on the other six habits as to ensure that in school or in life and business I can be as effective as
