Imagine that your dear old grandmother has a terrible disease and could possibly die, but there is a new treatment that could save your grandma's life or your blind best friend that cannot see, yet has the opportunity to see with the new treatment, would not that make them and yourself happy? Well the treatment that would save your grandmas life and friends’ vision is called stem cell research and it can not only save people's life, it can also fight illnesses, harmful diseases, replace failing organs. Yet, with all of theses miraculous things some people are quick to find the negative consequences with stem cell research. To go more in depth with stem cell, it is a cell with the “potential to develop into different types of cells in the body” (Barefoot). This cell serves many purposes for multiple reasons.
