Stem cells are cells that have the potential to regenerate into new cells that can be used as a repair tool. Stem cells can be from animal or from human. This paper will be looking at the controversy of stem cell. The first part will like as the pros and cons of stem cell and the last part will be my opinion on stem cell.
Pros
- Stem cells have the capability to regenerate into new tissues, systems and organs, when given the opportunity to do such as placing it within the human body. With guildiance from scientific research, stem cell have been proven to regenerate into new organs, blood vessels and ligaments such as those suffering from Anterior Ligament injury.
- During the process of culturing and implantation of stem cell, their recovery times for some serious disease and injuries could be shorter and faster. This is because the new cell will …show more content…
This is because of the short comings associated with the use of Stem cell. The conception of an embryo for some researcher is seen as the creation of life, therefore terminating that life equate murder. This originates primarily from the point of view that life begins at conception. Since this is a philosophy that many people belief in this will mean that in an attempt to advance research in this area will involve termination of many embryo which will be unethical (William B, 2015).
- Stem cell can be used for human cloning which involve creating duplicate cells to treat diseases and illness. This aspect is related to reproductive cloning which involving make of the baby. Therefore the goal of stem cell which is to be therapeutic producing embryonic stem cells is override (Health Guidance, 2015).
- The stem cell use could have the potential of rejection especially if they are embryonic cells use in human body. This could be as a result of incompatibility in genes
