Stems Cells The use of stems cells has caused immense controversy among humanity over the years. There is a very thin line between the use of stem cells for science purposes and the morality of using stem cells, even for the reasons of science. The argument surrounding the use of stem cells, like any argument, has two sides to the argument. There are those who are in favor of the use of stems, and there are those are against the use of stem cells with arguments that support both opinions; I have also formed an opinion on the issue of stem cells based off of the arguments that have been presented. The first of the arguments stems from those are in favor of the use of stem cells. The main argument that those who are for the use of stem cells revolves around modern technology (Koepsell 2). Stems cells can help combat and control diseases such as diabetes (Koepsell 5). Stem cells also aide in the development of new organisms and medicine to help combat other diseases that have a negative impact on society (Koepsell 5). Stem cells can also be used to help reverse some genetic diseases in adults (Koepsell 5). Along with the arguments supporting the use of stem cells, there are other arguments that do not support the use of stem cells. The main argument that those who are against the use of stem cells use to validate their opinion relates to the ethical issues of using stem cells (Anderson, Smaglik, Walters 80). One has to choose which cells to use and ho to transmit those cells safely, without complications, to humans (Anderson, Smaglik, Walters 80). Also up for consideration when using stem cells is what diseases stems cells need to be used for (Anderson, Smaglik, Walters 80). After researching this issue, I have formed my own opinion on the issue of stem cell
