Embryonic stem cells - can become any type of cell in the body and they are created through the division of a newly fertilized egg. Adult stem cells - are somehow an inaccurate name because they can also be found in children and infants, but these stem cells are cells that inhabit in a tissue that is already developed. These stem cells also divide repeatedly to provide a new specialized cell in order to take place of a lost or a dead cell. Adult stem cells can be found in tissues such as the brain, muscle, blood, bone, and skin. These types of stem cells are researched limitedly because of the difficulties in growing and also separating them under the condition of the laboratory. Some people believe that removing the inner cell mass to obtain an embryonic stem cell line is likely to be a murder because they believe that an embryo is a person like a live born child or even an adult. Based on their religious faith, they believe that a human life begins on the day they were created and therefore an embryo is considered to be a person. Some people have an opposite view on the moral status of an embryo such as some people believe that a life of a person begins at a later stage of development and not at fertilization and therefore the embryo is allowed to be used in research.
