The book Lord of the Flies shows people that they should stay in control of themselves. In the book, Jack stayed calm and kept himself in control, but Ralph turned into a savage and turned into a different person, this shows that people should stay in control of themselves. If someone keeps themselves in control, they will stay the same, but if they don’t stay in control they will have a bad change in the person they are, this is shown in the book by Jack and Ralph. Jack shows that staying in control will have a positive effect on what will happen later in life, but Ralph shows that if someone doesn’t stay in control they will change and have a negative effect on what will happen. Unless someone wants to turn into a monster like Ralph turned out to be, they should keep themselves …show more content…
In the book, Jack stayed in control of himself. This led to him staying smart and still paying attention to different ways to get off of the island. On the other hand Ralph didn’t stay in control of himself which caused a change in the person he was in the beginning of the book. In the beginning of the book he was like Jack, helping him to find ways to get off of the island, but he changed and just messed around and cause danger to everyone else. In the book Jack stood for staying in control will have a positive effect on what will happen later in life, but Ralph stood for if someone doesn’t stay in control they will have a negative effect on what will happen. Jack showed that staying in control will cause good things. Jack didn’t focus on the things Ralph did, he focused on what mattered which was getting off of the island. Ralph showed that not staying in control will have negative effects on things. Ralph changed from focusing on getting off of the island to hunting, killing, and messing
