During your pregnancy you should try to stay away from teratogens. The Healthline Editorial Team wrote that pregnant women should not be exposed to excessive heat, herbal treatments, ionizing radiation, sick children, or toxoplasmosis, which is an infection contracted from cat feces to humans. There is also a list of ingestible teratogens that pregnant women should stay away from such as, alcohol and certain types of drugs, like Warfarin and Dilantin (Healthline Editorial Team, 2012). Pregnant women should be aware of their risks of maternal diseases that could effect their pregnancy.
