The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of freedom, whose message resonates not only in America but throughout the whole world. Rarely is a statue and a symbol so well recognized across the globe. Situated on its small island, the Statue of Liberty (officially entitled Liberty Enlightening the World) represents the Roman goddess of freedom from slavery, oppression, and tyranny, Libertas.
