Stationary Pack
When becoming a year 7 student at the corpus christi community many students feel nervous about started because they are afraid of being different. Everyone that starts in our community is provided with books for all subjects and a pencil case filled with pens, pencils, rubbers etc. By doing this we are ensuring that everyone has access to the same resources and no one is seen to be different. This gives the students emotional wellbeing enhanced because they aren’t worried about being different to anyone as they are all given the same resources. This stationary pack also helps economical wellbeing for those who can not afford the expensive resources, but everyone is given the same amount of things, from the same company. This means if a student is struggling in class with an assessment they are able to ask for permission off their learning advisor to go to the direct learning centre to get help from the teachers down their with their assessment. They are able to spend the whole day their only one session, as directed by the teachers in this room. They are also allowed to have a time out card to go see the councillor or sit down in the library and work individually on their own work. This is allowed for those wiht anxiety etc, but the teacher still needs to approve of this time out. This card provides support for the emotional wellbeing of students. They are able to sit alone and do their own work if someone is pushing their buttons and if they are struggling with their work. By going to sit down with someone they are able to problem solve, and can also talk about making solutions to their problems in class. They are able to create coping mechanism especially if they become distracted in class easily. The time out card also provides spiritual wellbeing because they are able to go and sit alone and focus on their work and not become distracted by other people. There education will also become improved because they may get one on one time with there teacher and be able to ask question they would feel embarrassed to ask in front of the whole
