Station Park Patterns

I went to Station Park for my field study. During this experience, I noticed things like the structural content of space within a location of a city/community. Also, I noticed patterns, patterns in store location, Pattern of people, the different regions, boundaries, the cultural landscape, and much more.
I did a four-level analysis to figure out patterns and to see the impacts that these patterns have on Station Park. Level 1 is what, where, when? Station Park is a lifestyle mall in Farmington Utah. Level 2 was Patterns, some of the patterns that I found was most of the more visited stores are near the food court/threshold of Station Park. I also noticed that the higher-class restaurants are center of the outlet, as for the lower class like fast foods are on the outside. I think this is because of service economy. Level 3 is why there? How did it occur? I think the more visited stores might be very popular stores in other outlets and when they found out they were building any new outlet they bought near the market area where they can make more profit. Most shopping outlets center around the food courts, and I think Station Park was wanting to do the same. Since the opening of Station Park, it has been expanding and many restaurants have had to start being placing on the outside or the market area.

Next to the outlets there is a Frontrunner train. This is good for business for them but it has created an optimal location for a new train station. The outlets are also right next to a highway which is good that its able to be accessed easily since many have cars. Around these outlets, they have started to build apartment complexes. I went online to see the range of the price, and the retail prices range from $910-$1,615; which is reasonable price since it’s so close to the outlet. One of the units is just for Harmons Grocery Store, I think this is placelessness since its sort of

Coffee shops, gas stations, restaurants, and retail stores all serve in a community where they have consumers that want what they offer. A gas station may not be successful in a community where most people walk to work and school or use public transportation and therefore not need a car but may thrive on an exit off an interstate. Without the people in the communities to purchase their goods and services there would be no business at all. The same hold true for public service institutions. For instance, a public bus line may not be needed in a suburban area where most people own cars but may be more beneficial in a city environment.…
