When I graduate from Pima I’ll have an associate of applied science degree in digital arts with a focus on design. I don’t plan on transferring to a four year school at the moment, but I’m not opposed to the idea. I’m also actively pursuing internships while I’m still in school so that I can have the experience to go along with my degree. As for what kind of job I’d like, I’d like to be a graphic artist for an ad agency or a magazine company. Out of all the projects I’ve done so far, both in school and on my own for fun, I have found that flyers, pamphlets, magazine covers ETC. have been the most fun and rewarding. This job is in Phoenix and it’s for a company that provides study abroad programs. This position would include designing materials for their online website (banners, ads, online newsletter ETC.) This job requires a degree, but doesn’t specify, so I’m assuming an associate’s degree would be acceptable. I like that this job combines online materials as well as print materials, because I believe that the best of both worlds. I’d have to move, but I don’t mind that.
