My ongoing experience at Temple University has been one of the most rewarding choices I have ever taken because of all of the opportunities that I have been blessed with. The most meaningful one is being an Academic Coach for the Russell Conwell Learning Center. Mentoring freshmen and upper classman on how to succeed at Temple University has inspired me to strive only for the best. As young adults, they struggled to gain an education and neither finished college but with persistence they worked extremely hard to give me the opportunity to achieve in higher education. My mother is my role model because as a woman she not only showed me how to value hard work but how a woman is capable of being so resilient. She worked tirelessly at Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse where she spent over forty hours a week just to give me a better future. An opportunity in which I’m extremely proud to contribute to.
