I have a dream, a dream where money isn’t the main goal. The main goal is to treat and help some of God’s most precious gifts on Earth. These gifts bring joy to almost everyone who has ever had one as a companion. It can be in a form of a Cocker Spaniel, Burmese Python or even a Yorkshire pig. Each one has an impact on someone’s life and my main goal is to be able to properly care and treat any animal in need. I would love to be allowed to participate in Auburn’s Vet Camp 2016! This previous year I was accepted to UGA’s Vet Camp and was able to explore my future career on their campus. With vet school enrollments being extremely tough, I thought it would be the best for me to broaden my horizons at other universities that offer beneficial

I worked in the biology lab labeling pelts, bones, and animal specimens; by twenty-one, I obtained my bachelor’s degree and strived for my first job out of university. That summer, I joined Humane Society Naples and worked as a veterinary assistant, while also volunteering at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida in wildlife rehabilitation. This is my turning point and reminds me of Claudia at age seven, who wanted to save animals. The most vivid and unforgettable part of my time there was seeing the transformation of the animal’s health and behavior. From the time, they come into the shelter, scared and sometimes in pain, to then being apart of the team to medically assess and treat them, to witness their ability to play with other animals, and then to the joys of adopters coming in looking for their forever pet, is…

We urge the committee to pursue broader legislation that would apply to civil servants in other federal agencies. Multiple investigations into allegations regarding the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), conducted by the VA Inspector General, confirmed allegations of long wait times and falsification of scheduling records. The VA’s main goal is to provide essential medical treatment to veterans who have served in the military. After enrolling in the VA system veterans provide their financial information, which is then used to determine priority ranking among veterans (Zezima 2014). Department guidelines stipulate that patients are supposed to see a doctor within 14-30 days of the processing of this requisite paperwork.…

I'm impressed with the collaboration the ER doctors I work with have and think it would be a great introduction to the field. After gaining experience, I plan to open my own practice. “The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him,” said G.K. Chesterton. A love for their country is why my veterans serve. It never really sunk into me how much veterans sacrifice for us. I think that we need to show as much respect to people that have served in the military forces to make us be able to be free. Or be able to pursue whatever we would like to.…
