Statement Of Purpose: UT Dallas

Decent Essays
At UT Dallas I hope to become a more professional person, I desire to gain a masters and be more inculcated about technology and its rapid improvements, but I also want to encounter new people who can share their personal experiences, make friends, and new connections. I want to become more social and independent, all the responsibilities I had the last years have taken time away from what was meant to be a phase to discover what I like and enjoy life like a regular teenager. I hope I can find at UT Dallas the family environment and friends I have being looking for and be more aware of what the American culture has to offer me. At UT Dallas I want to remain with the same morals, and improve my knowledge and social connections.

Heading into high school I had no idea what I wanted my future career to be. At the end of Junior High I had a choice, either to stay at my current academic school or go to Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High where I would learn a trade. I knew that when I decided to come to Pathfinder I could not sit in a class at a computer all day, and that I wanted to work. I knew I wanted hands on education, and I value hard work and accomplishing things by hand. My first day in exploratory for the Collision Shop I was immediately thrown on a vehicle to do a small dent repair and within the first 5 minutes I was already getting dirty.…

In order to explain the reason of why I want to attend the Musicians Institute’s Bachelor Program, I would need explain a bit about myself first. You see, when I was young, I've never really had friends or anyone to really talk to, and because of this, I spent most of my childhood alone. Due to the position I was at, I tried to fill in the missing void by wandering inside my imagination, so naturally for most of my time I would be day dreaming. One day I was driving with my parents to school and a certain song came on, and while that song was playing, my imagination went out of control involuntary to the music and started to create a story based off of the song I was listening to, not only that, it also made me feel some type of emotion, if I recall correctly, the emotion that I felt was, happiness. After that moment, I began hearing more songs from a variety of different bands and artists, and the more songs that I began to hear and like, the more my imagination…
